Summer is over

What a great summer we had. We did so many fun things. And because we were so busy, we decided to take a break from the online world to enjoy the great outdoors.

In a few short weeks we will be starting Cammy Productions.com back up. So get ready for a great winter as we let you into our lives once again. This year we are adding the addition of our new baby which is still inside the whom. Were excited, and I hope you are to.

Not fighting Addictions.

It's been 4 or 5 days... I cant remember. I need to make one right now... no, no, remember what the doctor said. But maybe I can make just a little short one, that's all, just like one or two minutes... uh, but I have to work. That's it! I can't take it anymore! ( ON PHONE: "Hi Mr. Boss Man, I can't come into work today... [ cough cough ] I'm sick" )

You know, I always new that I wanted to make videos and make people laugh, but I never thought that I would become so dependent on doing so. I'm addicted to making and posting youtube videos. I cant help myself. There is a thrill involved in putting a video online for complete strangers to watch. It is so rewarding.

I have uploaded probably 150 videos to youtube and other sites, some I have taken down off the Internet because of embarrassment. But now I find it hard to embarrass myself. After 2 years of people telling me I'm funny or horrible or the classic, which I seldom get, but it does come up every now and then, " Don't quit your day job ". To which I always reply, " I don't have to, I usually get fired ". lol.

But seriously there are some people in the Youtube Community that are just flat out haters. They only have bad things to say. At first I got upset at some of the horrible comments that I got, but over time, the haters bothered me less and less. Some people just are so un-happy with themselves that they have to go online and make others feel bad. Once you get over that, the fun begins.

I think one of the most rewarding parts of posting videos is getting comments. When someone you don't even know takes the time out of there busy day to comment on your video, you know you've made something worth talking about. And I think that has become my goal. Getting people to talk about my videos and my work.

Mad at myself again

I don't know why, but I just cannot get in the routine of waking up early. I wake up at around 9 am most days. I get up feeling like shit, kicking myself in the ass saying, " You idiot, why did you go back to sleep." Honestly, I'm sick of sleeping in. It does nothing for me. When I get up at 6:30 am I get so much done. Yeah I'm a little tired at first, but at least I don't feel like a big bag of shit.

Here's my solution: I want to start working at 6 am again. That way come 2 pm I have already put in 8 hours at my job and I have the rest of day to work on my fortune. Yes! That's exactly what I want. Hear me Universe. I want an early morning job that starts at 6 am and ends at 2pm. I want to work 5 days a week, and I want Mondays and Tuesdays off. I also want to get paid at least $15 dollars an hour.

I want to end this blog with this: Thoughts become things... So think good thoughts!

The economy is horrible. Gas prices are soaring which is causing everything to inflate in price. Well I'm sick of it. Its time to do something positive about the situation. Athenewins is one of the most popular Youtube sensations right now. His storyline is quite good, and his sidekick is priceless. I really enjoy his videos. His titles and thumbnail pictures are quite intriguing. But seldom have anything to do with his videos. Has he betrayed his viewers or is this what we all must do to get viewers in the hundreds of thousands?

I put this theory to the test yesterday when I posted "Athene's Girlfriend gets naked for Cammy". Within minutes of posting the video I had 54 views, which for me is very good. Today the video has hit almost 300 views and I wonder why? Well I'm sure it has a lot to do with the title of the video. As well as the thumbnail I used. Keep in mind that the thumb nail and title had nothing to do with the video that I posted, but it got people to watch.

Do I have to go to this new low? Do I have to play dirty just to get people to watch my content? You tell me. Truth be told, when I'm surfing the youtube network for something to watch I scan through the videos until I find an interesting thumbnail that is attached to an intriguing title. Others must do the same. And if that is true, do viewers get mad after they find out that they have been dooped into clicking on a video that claims to be something that its not? You be the judge.

First Day Sober in 5 Years!

Yesterday was the first day in 5 years that I have not smoked any weed or consumed any alcohol. I'm so over both substances. To tell you the truth I feel high anyway... High on life that is. It's amazing how good it feels to be living in reality again. I know it sounds weired and a little stupid, but I'm serious!

On the bright side of things I now have insomnia. Ya I can't sleep. It's perfect. Now I'm up for like 20 hours a day, and I'm getting so much more done. For example: It's 5:30 am and I'm up writing a blog. Do you know how long it's been since I've been up at 5:30 am? A long time.

Some people might be wondering why I have stopped these two nasty things. Well... there are a few different reasons. The first reason is quite simple. Ang and I are having a baby and I want to save some money instead of smoking or drinking it. And the second reason would have to be the motivation and procrastination factor. I get so much more done when I'm completely sober.

If your reading this and you suffer from addiction, know that if you really want to stop, you can. If you can't do it alone, get help. Check out this website for ways to stop addiction. If I can do it, so can you. And think of how much more you could get done in a day. lol.

Turing a New Page

Im here to tell you all something. Ive turned a new page. Sitting here on my futon with Ang asleep and Bianca upstairs in her room. Watching the weather network. We live a good life, and I am extremely grateful for everything we have.

I want to tell everyone that I am so happy and grateful now that I make videos for a living. It is a great feeling to wake up and know that today I get to do something I love.

The Early Bird Gets more than the worm!

I have just recently enjoyed the benefits of getting up before the sun. For some reason every time I do, I embrace the day, I up my productivity, and usually something fantastic happens for me.

Now when I get up at like 8:30am, I find myself getting mad at... Myself. Why? Because I just wasted 2 hours of the day. Yes it is hard getting up at the crack of dawn, but I think that I feel way better for doing so.

I encourage you to get up at 6am too! Its great for the soul, and the Universe loves the early bird. Think about how productive that is for a moment. I actually get up before the sun gets up. And really, if we want to get deep for a moment, the sun is like God. It looks over us every day, and it gives all living things life. And I get up before it. Ha!

Well to make a long blog short, I just talked to Crozier about making his music video, and we are going to be going out on Friday to shoot it. And Friday is suppose to be a beautiful day. Rock on!

What is Life all about?

Sometimes I think that I know it all. I think that I have every answer figured out. But then I have a moment... Something that makes me think other wise. I had a great day today, and tomorrow will go even better, that I know. For some reason today I noticed things about our world. Things that made perfect sense to me in the past, somehow didn't make any sense to me today.

I have decided that "Society is the perfect structure". It is designed so brilliantly! Everything we know and love is part of that structure. And these are the rules. We all have to work. We all have to buy, rent and spend money. That's where the perfect structure begins.

Working is the most important part of the structure. If no one worked, where would we be as a society? Would we be as advanced as we are today? Would anyone experience mega wealth? Its really hard to say. That's why its important to mankind that we continue to work hard, so that we can continue to grow as a civilization.

Here's my favourite part. The more you work, the more you get... Money that is. You know, God's green nectar. The one thing that everyone wants including myself. What would be the point of living if there was no such thing as money. What would you live for? Life would be empty. And that is sad.

Don't thinks its true? Think about this for a moment. Your walking down the street, and someone offers you five hundred dollars cash. How do you feel? You feel damn good right? I would, I mean that's five hundred bucks to spend on something I want. Money has really become the one thing that makes us happy anymore. And that's because everything we desire costs money. lol.

Yeah that's right, everything. Some might say, "Well Love doesn't cost money!", and I would say to them, "Your right. Love doesn't cost money", but the consequences surrounding Love do. The engagement ring, the house, the cars, the possible children. But don't worry... You can work and make the money right? Yeah yeah... I'll do it in a minute.

Feed the Children Charity Event

It was a beautiful day to be outside. And everyone was ready to feed the children. Inside the bar there was lots of stuff going on too. I was co-hosting the event. And when I wasn't on stage I was taking pictures. So that's why I'm not in any of the following pics.... You can just pretend that your looking through my eyes, and your seeing what I saw. Enjoy!

Angela from Host and Home was having alot of fun making cotton candy. lol.

There were tons of great games for the kids to enjoy.

They could even decorate their own cup cakes.

And who doesn't like getting their face painted? Nobody I know!

DJ Lenny was outside spinning the beats for the kids and playing requests for donations.

It was a great day, and alot of money was raised to support the Salvation Army of Grey Bruce and Simcoe county. Everyone involved did a fantastic job. Kim, the organizer of the event deserves a big round of applause. An event like this is not an easy task to organize, especially when your working a full time job too. Great Job Kim! I hope we can have another fund raiser next year.

A lesson in returning a phone call

How many times should you leave a message if someone you are trying to get a hold of still hasn't returned your call? I'm not sure, but I do know this, if someone calls you, call them back. I say this because I am now learning the frustration that a person can go through if you don't return their phone call. I left my first message on Sunday and it is now Wednesday. What the shit?

After Breakfast we all went outside for a walk to the beach... Well the winter beach.

In Canada the snow gets really really deep.

Things to do today: Start Media Showcase Investigation

You know when you talk to an older person like a grandfather? They are always looking out for you, or trying to give you advise. It really is nice to have that, but honestly, my grandfather who is a great man, is out of touch with reality. He can work a computer, but doesn't understand the new age philosophy of honest blogging.

Everything I put out on the Internet is to far out there for him, and I'm sure that goes the same for a lot of people. He just finished telling me to edit out some of the content that was in my last blog post... "No way Grampa" I said. "The internet is for the honest, the real and opionative person. I believe that one day very soon, our lives will only exist on the world wide web."

And really... It already does for alot of people. Take the new website Weblo for example. You can buy anything you want, right up to your neighbors house. And your using real money. Buying and selling virtual property? Sounds cool. And it is!

So this is what he was trying to tell me:

He said that I should not use people or businesses names because it was unfair to them. But if I cant use their name, how can I warn others like myself about something. They would have no idea what I was talking about. I shouldn't even make a blog post. It would be like warning someone not to enter a certain room, and then not telling them what room it was. I feel that I am not saying anything bad about anyone or any establishment, I am merely expressing a personal opinion that I have based on truth and fact.

Media Showcase or Shameless Promotion?

Get ready for a week long rant. Normally I wouldn't get upset at a media festival because I know that artistic expression is seen differently through certain peoples eyes. But this media festival is the worst artistic festival I have ever been too. I have never seen so many un-talented videos in my life. How can someone that is fucking snowshoeing to copyrighted music win a fucking prize?

Yes I am going to investigate this faux paw. What a joke. First of all, for those that read my blog on a ongoing basis, which I can gladly say is about 250 people per day and growing, I will be starting my investigation on Monday and continue until Thursday. I will be blogging and making Youtube videos. I will be calling certain people responsible for the festival like the marketing team at Blue Mountain, and I will be trying to get a hold of the President of VW.

I need some answers. I'm sure some of you are wondering why I'm so disturbed. Its not because I didn't win anything, I don't care about that. Its because this is the second year that this festival has been running and instead of it getting better, it got worse. And that is because the people running the festival wouldn't know talent if it punch them in the friggin head.

I entered the festival last year with a film that I made the day before the deadline was due. Why did I leave it to the last minute? Because the stupid idiots don't advertise these events, and nobody talks about them. I happen to find out the first year just by chance. And for the record, there were only 8 films entered, and I didn't win yet again, which I was ok with, seeing as I had only made the video the day before and their was no plot or story line.

So then this year came along and I went to the website a month before the festival should start. I was lucky and the festival started later in the year then last year. Sweet! I'll take my time and write something spectacular. Which I did. Then I entered it. That's when my disturbia started.

There were no guide lines to what kind of content was going to be allowed in the festival, other than no coarse language or explicit behaviour. So I abided by those rules and created "Interventions of a Third Kind". ( This video is based on a true story, and you can view it at the bottom of this post. )

This year at the festival they were only going to view the top 5 films. Which I was certain my video was in the top 5, I mean it is excellent. But anyway, we all went to the festival for the top 5 screening which started at 8pm on Friday night and ended at 10:30pm. It was freezing cold. Like minus 20 with the wind shield factor. And there was maybe 100-150 people there ( probably because of the cold weather ). So we waited and waited and waited. Then the screenings started. And the first four films played. (They played two videos, then a band came on and then they played two more videos. ) My video had yet to play. So I was expecting it to come on next.... And guess what?

They only played four videos. They were suppose to play 5. What happen? And the four videos that they did play, ( No offence to the people that made them ) but the videos were people snow boarding and snow shoeing and 3 out of 4 of them had copyrighted music in them. That's a big no no. And how fucking boring it was watching these stupid videos that took absolutely no artistic talent to make. Every time one of these boring videos came on more and more people left the outdoor facility. At least my video would have made people stay because there was some content in it to pay attention to.

The video that won first place, which was done well, was entered in the festival last year. Yeah, the exact same video. So that would mean that only 5 videos were entered this year? Which would mean that number had come down from 8 videos last year to 5 videos this year? Which would mean that other artists like my self were not willing to put their hard work in a bogus festival that rewarded people for having no artistic ability? Pretty fucked up eh?

It is also probably good to mention that the bands that played were excellent, and every band said the word "fuck" or "fucking cold" at least once. And every one at the festival was old enough to deal with the content that was in my video.

Yesterday I was mad and upset. Now I'm ready to go out and get some answers. Get ready because here is who I will be contacting this week:

1. Blue Mountain marketing team
2. The president of VW
3. The president of Telus
4. Alcohol/Drug Abuse Hotline1-800-662-HELP

I want to leave you with this paragraph from the festival web page, they talk about why
Jozo Weider started this festival ( The guy that started Blue Mountain ).

"The Multimedia Showcase at Blue Mountain Resort is an innovative forum to encourage artistic expression through multiple forms. Inspired by the creative interests of Blue Mountain Resort's founder Jozo Weider, an avid supporter of the arts, the event hosts an array of artists showcasing exhibits that unite graphic design, film/video, photography, and street media. Since 2003, Blue Mountain Resort has hosted the Showcase, drawing increasing interest from artists and multimedia enthusiasts across Ontario." (Note: The last line is pure Bullshit )

And as funny as that is I just realized that the festival started in 2003. I only found out about it two years ago. Why don't you advertise this more? Never forget that artists made the world we live in. Everything we have is because of artists. Stop rewarding people with no artistic talent, or the festival will fail, just like it is right now. Give your heads a shake, and wake up.

Vomit Like a Pro

Ever woke up and said... "Yes we can". lol. Yeah that's what I said today. Yes we can to prosperity. Yes we can to hope. Yes we can to... Can I have medium double double? Thank you. Now I got my game face on and I'm ready to make some serious coin.

Pretty good game face eh? Yeah I thought so too. You can never really be to prepared. Which brings me to my first piss off of the day. Ang burnt her hand really bad at work today, which is a resort restaurant, and they had nothing to heal burns with. What a joke. I had to go to Walmart to buy aloe for her. What kind of restaurant doesn't have some sort of burn cream on hand at all times. To me that is pathetic.

Well that is neither here nor there now. Next, after Ang and I picked up Bianca we went to store 54 because I am putting new retail products in the store. I don't know if I have ever really expressed my feelings about store 54 but I am today.

When I started in the program a year ago I thought that the concept of helping young entrepreneurial people like myself was going to be awesome. Which for the most it has been. But there are a few problems with the program that without being fixed, are going to destroy every single persons experience before they even begin.

I have tried to put forward motions to change the current issues but have had little resolve. I am at the point right now where I realize that there is really nothing I can do, unless I do the things that I have been trying to get people to stop doing. Sort of if you cant beat them join them. But this is much more than that.

Let me paint a picture for you. 1 beautiful retail space. And eight young entrepreneurial people running eight separate businesses. They all have to share one space. The rules are, there are no rules. And that in a nut shell is Store 54. Complete chaos all the time.

I sometimes wonder if this program is for young entrepreneurial people like myself, people that what to succeed in the business world. But I sometimes have to stop and wonder if this program is nothing more than a case study in which statistics are gathered. Why would you want to set up a program that caused more chaos and confusion for people that are trying to learn.

I want resolution. And that resolution is:

1. Virtual sections that rotate on a weekly or monthly basis.

I feel that all of these requests are quite valid. And I hope that the decision will be made extremely soon. I know that there are other people in the program that feel the same way I do.

Its just common sense!

Enough of the rant... This is what I am going to do until those decisions are made. I am going to take advantage of the no rules policy, and I'm going to do what ever I want, when ever I want to do. Because there are no consequences set up for my future actions. Peacefully I will have resolve.

Building a website is...

Well, it can be rewarding, but it can also be frustrating. There are so many things that have to be done, and to top it all off, I worked on something for like 3 hours and decided I hated it so I scraped it. Keep it simple. That is what I have to remember. I am a self taught webmaster so it is really hit and miss sometimes. One day I will pay someone to manage my sites so I can focus on the creative aspect of Cammy Productions.com.

Here are some pics of me working on the site.

Getting out of the Doghouse Breakfeast.

Hey guy, this one is just for you. Lets say your in a long term relationship and your in trouble. Or maybe you just need to get something from your significant other. You know like its only been 3 weeks or something... Well here's what to do. Make them breakfast. Yes it is that simple. But to seal the deal even more, make sure the kitchen has to be cleaned before you start. And that both you and your partner are well aware that the dishes have to be done.

This is what you are going to need. Sausage... ( I'll let you think up something funny about your partner eating sausage. )

You will also need some potatoes. I like the pre-sliced canned potatoes.

Then put them on your grill. We use the George Foreman G-5.

I like to season the potatoes with these spices, but they really don't need much more than a bit of salt and pepper. HINT: More spice = more points for effort.

Ok, now let them cook on a medium heat. Just set it and forget it. lol. Remember the messy kitchen I showed you earlier?

Clean while your potatoes and sausage are cooking.

Good job! Now its on to the eggs. Move your potatoes over and crack the eggs onto the grill. Once again, Eggs secretly means Effort to a woman. So if one or two eggs break, its ok.

Now you have to make some toast, and if you can manage make some smoothies. ( IF you make a smoothy you score big time with your partner.)

TIP: Smoothies are really easy to make if you use a magic bullet.

Ok, your almost done. All you have to do is finish the eggs the way your partner likes them and plate your food. Wow!!! That's a breakfast!

Try it, and I bet you will feel a sigh of relief!

Time well spent: A Father and Daughter True Canadian Story

When you have to spend 2 whole days alone with your little baby girl, who is just about three, you have to find things to do. Bianca and I decided to make a Canadian snow fort. You dont need much to do that:

1. Nice warm day with paki snow. lol
2. A shovel
3. A recycling bin
4. Lots of Ambition.

Start by packing snow into the recycling bin.

Then you have to flip it over and lift it off just like your making a sand castle.

And Repeat...

We stopped after that, and turned it into a snowman. lol.

All and all it was a great day. The End. ( Of this Post. )

When I woke up this morning I had completely lost all hearing in one of my ears.

Then about an hour later I gained back 100% of my hearing... Thank God.

I was in the car early to drop of a flyer for the Feed the Children charity.

I decided to drop one off at Store 54. ( The Youth Entrepenurial program I am in. )

The center of the front display looks like a good spot to put it. Everyone is sure to see it.]

Then I was off again to go and look at the new Cammy Productions.com Headquarters location.

Its a beatiful building and I have everything all planned out.

While I was daydreaming, Ang called and asked if I would pick up Mcdonalds breakfeast for her and Bianca. I also got myself somethings.

After breakfeast I didnt feel so good. lol.

Recession Proof: The Economy, Stupid.

Could it be true? In the last few weeks, the level of unemployment grew, the stock market wobbled, the housing crisis worsened and damn it if the price of oil didn't reach $100 a barrel. Yes, some experts believe a recession has already begun. So....so what? Or, will there be more people without work and more time to enjoy online television. We like to think so. Don't dismay. We'll keep your spirits up with enough comedy to choke a Republican. New polls suggest North Americans are nervous about the economy...the poll also goes on to say that CammyTV was on their 'no-worry' list. Cool.

Oh, I forgot to talk about the food pics above. We've been getting a lot of emails...strange but true...people asking what we eat in the production studio. Here's one example. It's after midnight here...just wrapping for the weekend and we decided to make some 'Cammy Crisp'.
Yup. We just make it quick. We all grab a fork and dig in, sharing away. Here's the recipe so you can make it and eat it while you watch our segments.

'Cammy Crisp'
(cheap dinner during recessions....The economy, stupid)

Cut and peel apples - into small slices - random is fine
Toss them with some flour to dust them up real nice
Throw in some brown sugar
Top with oats
Smother with butter
Sprinkle with cinnamon

Bake until bubbly and browned.
Whip real whipping cream

Who better than the internationally known producer Lorne Michaels to learn from? We've been thinking a lot lately about our production facilities. Planning, thinking, planning, talking, thinking. O.K. It's time to get off our butts and actually do something about it. We are streamlining our capabilities (which are boundless I might add) and we have a crush on Lorne's RUNDOWN board. Best of all because we are CammyTV on the web; we don't have to worry about commercial breaks (unless we want to - notice how Lorne has to contend with 9 commercial breaks every show) - we just want to hear from anyone who'd like to enjoy some product placement. This is a billion dollar industry...yes...I said billion. Brand Cameo tracks this stuff. So does this company.

I believe in UFO's

It is true, a young kid like myself beleives in something. Could you believe? Do you believe? I do. I have my whole life. Even before I was born. In my mothers whom I would get visited by UFO's. Long poking space craft, that seemed to pierce my mothers inards. Bizzarre... I know! When I was around ten years old I was obducted by aliens. I never really did care for Mexico, but the people are great. My Aunt is actually Mexican.

Last summer, Ang and I saw a strange light in the sky... It was a UFO. This winter we saw another one. I mean there all over the place. You have probably seen one. I think that propably everyone has seen a UFO.

Why is there so much contraversy over something so interesting? Do you want to know what I think? I think Jesus was an alien. And so is God, budda, and Elvis Presley. Ok, maybe not the last one, but really think about it, It is totally possible. But so is the bible... Right? Is the truth known and we just dont know the truth? Could this be the one thing that humanity never new? Would it make us better people? KNOWING that the jesus christ that we all love so much, was an alien.. Wow! That would change everything.

I dont have any proof that that is true. But then again, no one has any proof that it is false. We live in an amazing world. Ive done amazing things. I love our planet. When I eat clemintimes ( little oranges ) I just think to myself, wow, this is incredible. Everything is made up of molecules, and atoms. And yet, we taste, smell, touch, and see beautiful pieces of oranges. It just blows my mind.

When is it time to give up?

There comes a time, when a man has to decide if what he is doing is right for his family. That time has come for me. I have always believed that you should never give up... that you should persevere. But I find myself asking the question, "Can one man build a pyramid?". Probably not. But can one man ask his friends to help him build a pyramid? Probably? Maybe not! I dont know, I havent asked yet.

Pyramids really have nothing to do with my problem. Unless you metaphorically think that the problem is my unbuilt pyramid. And even if that was true, how long would one take to fix his problem? Would the pyramid fixer ever give up?

I love what I do... I love making videos... I love entertaining people. Than whats the problem? The problem is, I feel that my love for these things is inderictly hurting the people around me that I love. Is it selfish to pursue a dream? I would hope not. But is it selfish to persue a dream that others dont understand? I think that is the real question that I have to ponder.

I know that my family supports me, and they want me to be happy. But would obtaining that happiness result in disappointment for my family? And if so, would it even matter? Ive become so good at asking questions. I want to become a pro at answering them. I want me, my family and all of my friends to enjoy the benifits of the things that come into my life. Only then will I know that I have made the right choices in life.

The rest of my life is only one choice away. Wish me luck!

seems to be talking to just you. Well thats the way the universe works I guess. The funny thing is, I wrote this blog on the 16th of November 2007, and your not reading it until today. And if you think that is weird, how about this, the blog that I write tomorrow might be the best blog post anybody has ever read, but your going to be so busy trying to figure out how I knew to write this blog to you, that you dont even get a chance to read it.

I want you to know that the only way for anybody to see everything, they would have to only see and not understand. But if you believe what you see to be true, then you dont have to understand what youve seen. So you see, you trying to understand why Im writing this blog to you is making you blind to the future things Im trying to show you.
